Through our extensive knowledge of oral health, we work to build long lasting relationships and change people’s lives for the better. We are a small practice that can provide consistent quality care because we make a point to treat each patient who comes in with respect and honesty — just like family. You’ll see the same friendly faces every time you come in, knowing you’re in good, dedicated hands.

Meet Dr. Brad Wisowaty

Committed to serving families of Northwest Indiana

Dr. Brad Wisowaty came from a close knit family, and treats his practice and the patients as an extension of that. Growing up in Calumet City, Illinois, he was involved in sports from an early age — football, wrestling, baseball, basketball, and soccer just to name a few.

A lot of hard work and dedication went into Dr. Brad’s sports career, which culminated with wrestling at Northern Illinois University. This is also where he met his wife, now a physical therapist, Deanna. After graduating with a degree in Biology and minor in chemistry, sports soon faded from his everyday life, and was replaced by a hunger for knowledge and commitment to school work.

Dr. Wisowaty completed his Masters degree in Biology at Purdue Calumet while teaching a biology lab course. After graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2015, Dr. Brad and Deanna moved back to Northwest Indiana where he worked as an associate for 2 years before buying this practice.
‍
The Wisowatys, along with their two kids and Great Dane, Skyy, enjoy the Valparaiso community and all that it has to offer. You can catch them playing outside, whether it's taking a walk around the neighborhood, at the park, Zao Island or the Gabis Arboretum.
‍
Dr. Brad also loves working out, running, trying to teach his kids new things, taking care of his saltwater fish tank (catch it in our office’s reception!), woodworking, fishing, working on his 1972 corvette, duck hunting, scuba diving, snowboarding, going to Taylor Swift concerts, and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Just a short drive north of the historic Valparaiso downtown area, Dr. Brad Wisowaty and the staff at Modern Dentistry proudly provide friendly and judgment-free dental services to patients from the communities of Valparaiso, Chesterton, Kouts, and surrounding areas in Northwest Indiana from our office in Valparaiso, Indiana. We know a few things are certain when you come through our doors: Yes, you want to be treated like family. Yes, you want to have a dental team that cares about you. Yes, you want an accessible dentist. Yes, you want to see the same smiling faces at each appointment. And yes, you should make an appointment to improve your oral health!

Welcome home

We want your dental home to feel as comfortable as your actual home. That's why when you come into our cozy office you will have access to a variety of comforts and amenities. From iPads for conveniently filling out digital forms to our calming saltwater fish tank, and large windows overlooking the majestic silver maple tree (and funny squirrels!), your visit will be enjoyable from the start. During your appointment, enjoy headphones and monitors in the operatories. If watching TV isn't your thing, we have beautiful and calming vintage wood ceilings too, so it's always a win-win when you're in Dr. Brad’s dental chair.

Our office at Modern Dentistry is outfitted with cutting edge technology, which ensures that the treatment you receive will be effective, efficient, and long lasting. At the end of the day, our paramount priority is to provide high quality dental care in the most compassionate and honest way possible.

Our capacity to take digital impressions of your mouth allows us to create highly accurate models of your teeth and gums that help us to provide better fitting appliances. Additionally, digital x-rays and CBCT scanners provide detailed images of the bone and panoramic pictures of your head and neck. To ensure that your dental treatments are as timely and effective as possible, we use tools like our dryshield, which helps us to complete procedures quickly and comfortably.

We also think it's important to invest in tools that give you the opportunity to see what we see. Intraoral cameras are a quick and easy way to take a picture so we can show precise problems with a tooth or how you might be able to clean an area better.
